ABOUT US Carbon Renewable Energy has been re-searching Prickly Acacia for over 10 years, Through painstaking efforts of our principals and partners, we have developed and re¬fined new technologies and methods to potentially harvest Prickly Acacia and trans¬form it into natural and torrefied wood pellets - suitable to export to the world as a carbon neutral alternative to coal. World demand for carbon neutral wood pellets is currently 15 million tonnes per year growing to 50 million tonnes within a decade. CRE has confirmed the Prickly Acacia in-festations as a unique untapped biomass and investigated the full potential of this feedstock for value adding into saleable products for domestic and international markets. Operating initially within Prickly Acacia’s current containment lines in North Queensland, CRE has secured support for this valuable project from Local Govern¬ments, Landholders, Environmental Groups and Aboriginal Land Councils. Through Australian innovation and new technologies, CRE plans to aggressively tackle the spread of Prickly Acacia. Our prior work has validated substantial potential and justifies moving this project to the final fea¬sibility stage, ready for commencement.
